I’m a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® based in Portland, Oregon. Because sessions are conducted virtually, I work with athletes all over the world.
CERTIFICATIONS:
CERTIFIED MENTAL PERFORMANCE CONSULTANT®
Designation as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) shows that your mental coach has met the highest standards of professional practice in the field of sport psychology. This sought-after qualification is administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
I have been a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) since 2016.
SPORT PSYCHOLOGY WORK:
I maintain a mental performance coaching private practice working primarily with beach volleyball and indoor volleyball players and teams. I am also a mental performance expert for Voice in Sport (VIS), a sports and advocacy company and online community fueled by the voice of girls and women in sports.
Most recently, I was the mental performance coach for Pepperdine Beach Volleyball (in the volunteer assistant role).
Previously, I was contracted as a mental performance expert and resilience trainer for the U.S. Army to work with Commanders, Soldiers, and civilians based at Fort Hood in Central Texas. I also coached warrior-athletes on the sitting volleyball team in preparation for the Warrior Games.
I also worked as an assistant coach and mental performance coach for SandLegs Beach Volleyball Club in the San Francisco Bay Area.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Before graduate school, I was a professional writer and editor, working primarily in the marketing departments at some of the Bay Area's most prominent retail HQs, including Restoration Hardware, Walmart.com, and Men's Wearhouse. I've also worked for a communications firm in San Francisco, having facilitated executive communication workshops and managed company-wide internal training processes and content-delivery schedules.
